Episode 12 – Candid Camera

Last week another unarmed black man was shot by a cop.  Matt and I examine the footage and story surrounding the case of Walter Scott.  Also, we talk about the Guatemalan medical experiments that followed that shared similarities with the Tuskegee Experiment.  For the entertainment section, we give a quick rundown of our impression of the Fast Seven movie and Daredevil TV show on Netflix.  Look below for links to all the stories covered in this episode.

Episode 11 – Imminent Threats

I apologize for the month long delay between episodes.  I was out of town for work and had numerous technical issues that prevented me from posting the podcast.  Matt and I did record during the break, for all but one week.  The sound quality was not great so I am posting our newest episode.  We may post the older episodes later if I can massage the sound files enough.

In this episode Matt and I share what Americans see as the greatest threat to our way of life.

Enjoy.

Episode 10 – By The Numbers

Episode 10 takes us on a journey through the multitude of government databases and statistics, but the discussion is far from dull.  Matt and I go over a December Ebony article, chronicling the state of blacks in America.

To start, we look at the halt to President Obama’s immigration plans, in Texas, and his goal of establishing a new cyber security agency.

Admittedly, there is little entertainment talk this week, but the next podcast should make up for that.

Episode 9 – Strange Fruit

For episode 9, we comment on the newly released report on lynching, completed by Equal Justice Initiative.  Is this report good for race relations, or not?  Listen to the podcast and decide for yourself.

Also, Matt and I talk about the two teen shootings in Pittsburgh that made national news.  Social media played a large role in the perpetrators getting caught and what does that say about narcissism and the young?

Samsung gets a couple minutes of air time with their smart tv’s that know a little too much about their users.

As usual, we round out the podcast on a lighter note, as we look at the deal Marvel and Sony made to bring Spiderman to the Avengers universe.  Lastly, I hype up the new Elite Dangerous space sim game.
