Episode 28-Change Up

As I am sure everyone has noticed, the podcast is late.  Due to some time constraints I cannot continue the weekly podcasts right now.  Matt and I hope to get back to a regular schedule soon, but we do not have a date yet.  We will continue to podcast at least once a month, most likely in the middle.

This week’s episode is full length, so enjoy.  If you want to hear more and liked the weekly episodes, please leave feedback on the forums, email, or social media sites.

Episode 25 – Right To Vote

Last week California decided to reinstate voting rights for low level offender’s who have completed probation.  This  was a significant move, after the Supreme Court struck down the Voter Registration Act.  We discuss the ramifications of this ruling and the ongoing efforts of other states to limit voters in specific areas.

As usual, we round out the episode with entertainment topics.  This week was dominated by some impressions of upcoming games, like Galak-z, on the PS4.

Episode 22-Obama Shows Up

After a recent move across the country we are back.  Matt and I have frequently disagreed about our opinions on President Obama, but in the last two weeks we have found some common ground.  Obama is clearly in the sunset of his presidency and is finally exhibiting the traits we expected all along.  On this episode we discuss his NAACP speech and the nuclear deal with Iran, among  other topics.

Enjoy!

Episode 14 – Welfare

We return to our features show and discuss recent state legislation aimed at welfare recipients.  Are politicians trying to help or hurt Americans who need financial assistance?

During our weekly entertainment rant we have a one-sided debate about the Transformers returning to the silver screen.

Episode 10 – By The Numbers

Episode 10 takes us on a journey through the multitude of government databases and statistics, but the discussion is far from dull.  Matt and I go over a December Ebony article, chronicling the state of blacks in America.

To start, we look at the halt to President Obama’s immigration plans, in Texas, and his goal of establishing a new cyber security agency.

Admittedly, there is little entertainment talk this week, but the next podcast should make up for that.

As always, we encourage everyone to provide feedback on the episodes through the webpage: believethat.blackvalor.net or email at believethatnews@gmail.com

Episode 8 – Gentrified

Sorry for the slight delay.  This week Matt and I rant about the anti-vaccination campaign.  Why are there counties in California with lower levels of vaccination than third-world countries?  These are, supposedly, educated people.  Also, we talk about an article that states gentrification is a myth.  Do you agree?  To round out the episode we cover Suge Knights arrest for murder and the usual entertainment round up.
