After a long wait, Matt and I give our impressions of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. We talk about the characters and scenes in depth, so do not listen if you have not seen the movie yet. Enjoy and hit up our forums for comments!
We start the episode memorializing two civil rights pioneers who passed last week, Julian Bond and Louis Stokes. Also, we feature at least four articles that make us wonder what is going on in Missouri right now.
On the entertainment front, we look at the revealed cast for the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
Last week California decided to reinstate voting rights for low level offender’s who have completed probation. This was a significant move, after the Supreme Court struck down the Voter Registration Act. We discuss the ramifications of this ruling and the ongoing efforts of other states to limit voters in specific areas.
As usual, we round out the episode with entertainment topics. This week was dominated by some impressions of upcoming games, like Galak-z, on the PS4.
Well, another week…another cop abuses their authority. Unfortunately, this Texas cops actions led to the suspicious death of Sandra Bland. We discuss the circumstances of Sandra’s alleged suicide and several articles involving both sides of the law. Also, we cover the thawed relations between Cuba and the United States, a nuclear deal with Iran, and Mobile Suit Gundam.
This week we talk about the outlaw biker shoot out in Texas. There were nine deaths, eighteen arrests, and one restaurant closure. Matt and I contrast the police response to armed, dangerous bikers and unarmed black men, who were accosted for minor crimes.
Also, we add a little science and nature talk about flying spiders and lab grown skin. The episode is rounded out with our impressions of the new DC Legends of Tomorrow show.
This week’s show is light on news as we give our opinions on the Daredevil TV show and Avengers: Age of Ultron (spoiler alert). For news, we talk about the tragic train crash in Philadelphia and a U.S. special forces raid in Syria.

Samsung gets a couple minutes of air time with their smart tv’s that know a little too much about their users.
As usual, we round out the podcast on a lighter note, as we look at the deal Marvel and Sony made to bring Spiderman to the Avengers universe. Lastly, I hype up the new Elite Dangerous space sim game.
This week we discuss the legalization of marijuana. Many states are deciding who can use marijuana and whether it should be accessible for a wider range of constituents. Matt and I add our two cents to the debate.
